Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
Guidelines
The guidelines below are in the process of being updated.
  • Special Interest Groups are sub groups of Seattle Men in Leather.  They are not intended to be separate clubs.
  • A SIGs creation must be approved by the SML Steering Committee.  The champion of a SIG should submit a proposal to the Steering Committee which outlines the SIG’s mission, audience, examples of proposed activities, and any special rules.
  • SIG’s are to be open to the general SML membership whenever possible and not be by invitation only.  All members of SML who fit the definition are welcome and SIG has the duty to inform the membership of their activities.  Membership in a SIG is not restricted to SML Members, however all SIG members are encouraged to join SML.
  • Each SIG will select a liaison to the SML Steering Committee to represent them and give monthly reports of their activities to the SML Steering Committee.  The liaison will be on the SMLboard email list.
  • SIG’s are subject to the normal rules and procedures of SML guidance.  All finances will be handled through the SML Treasurer.
  • Each SIG is entitled to a email list setup by the SML List Administrator.  Each SIG is entitled to one page of webspace on the SML Website.
  • Each SIG will track attendance and make regular and timely reports of that information to the SML Membership Coordinator.
