Seattle Leather Daddy and Daddy’s Boy
Contest
Scoring and Prizes
Contestants are judged in the following
categories, for a total of 500 points. If only a single contestant
is competing for one of the titles, he must receive at least 75% of
the available points to win. Although attending the Friday night
Meet-n-Greet is expected of the contestants (the judges do form initial
opinions about the contestants there), it is not a formally judged
portion of the contest.
Interview (150 points)
The Interview portion is conducted during the day
on Saturday, with each contestant individually facing the panel of
judges, being asked a number of questions.
Category Image (100 points)
This represents the contestant’s best presentation
of a Leather Daddy or a Daddy’s Boy.
Northwest Image (100 points)
For this category, contestants appear in a Pacific
Northwest-themed outfit of their own choosing. This may be a
serious depiction, something with a humorous bent to it, or featuring
a variety of other intents.
Surprise Question (50 points)
Each contestant will be asked a question on stage,
chosen at random. This gives the contestant the opportunity
to think quickly and speak in public.
Dress Leather/Uniform (100 points)
This represents the contestant’s interpretation
of “dress leather” (or uniform), a more public and formal
look than Category Image.
Audience Vote
Each ballot equals one point, which is added to the
scores from the judges to reach the final scores for each contestant. Each
audience member is entitled to two votes, one for Daddy and one for
Boy.
